Ticaplat 90 Tablet 10

Ticaplat 90 Tablet is used for the following:

• Prevention of atherothrombotic events in adult patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (a sudden reduction in blood flow to the heart)

• Use among patients who have experienced a Myocardial Infarction (heart attack)

• Management of patients with Coronary Artery Disease at high risk of heart attack or stroke

• Prevention of stent thrombosis, where blood clots form on stents, in patients who have undergone Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (a non-surgical procedure used to treat narrowing of the coronary arteries)

Before you start taking Ticaplat 90 Tablet, follow these simple instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not break, crush or chew the tablet before consuming.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not change your dosage or stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Ticaplat 90 Tablet is taken orally.

Ticaplat 90 Tablet contains ticagrelor (90 mg), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Inhibiting Platelet Activation: Ticagrelor binds selectively to the P2Y12 receptors found on the surface of platelets and reversibly blocks them. This prevents a compound called adenosine diphosphate (ADP) from activating platelets, which are tiny blood cells that help your body form clots.

• Reducing Blood Clot Formation: By making your platelets less sticky, ticagrelor reduces the formation of blood clots in your arteries. This helps maintain smooth blood flow, lowering the chances of heart attacks, strokes, and cardiovascular death.

• Keep Ticaplat 90 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Shield it from moisture and ensure it stays in its original packaging.

• Make sure to store it somewhere out of the reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date before using the medicine.

• As Ticaplat 90 Tablet is used to manage heart-related conditions, make sure you consume a heart-healthy diet. Include foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids like fish and walnuts, and limit intake of trans fats found in processed foods.
