Tigemac 90 Tablet 10

Tigemac 90 Tablet is used for the following:

• Lowering the risk of cardiovascular death

• Reducing the chance of heart attack, medically known as myocardial infarction

• Minimising the occurrence of stroke in individuals with acute coronary syndrome or a prior history of heart attack

• Managing conditions linked to acute coronary syndrome, such as unstable angina and non-ST elevation myocardial infarction.

• Each tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush it.

• If swallowing tablets whole is difficult, they can be crushed, mixed with water and consumed immediately. Rinse and drink the residual mixture from the glass to ensure full dosage.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Tigemac 90 Tablet is taken orally.

Tigemac 90 Tablet contains ticagrelor (90 mg) and works in the body as follows:

• P2Y12 Receptor Antagonist: Ticagrelor acts as a P2Y12 receptor antagonist. This means it blocks a specific receptor on platelets, which are cells that help your blood clot.

• Reduces Platelet Activation: By blocking the P2Y12 receptor, ticagrelor effectively reduces platelet activation. This is important because when platelets become too active, they can stick together and form clots which can block blood flow.

• Prevents Blood Clot Formation: With reduced platelet activation, ticagrelor prevents the formation of new blood clots. This keeps blood flowing smoothly in your arteries and reduces the risk of heart attacks or strokes.

• Keep Tigemac 90 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Retain the tablets in their original packaging to shield them from moisture.

• Store away from direct heat and light.

• Keep the medication out of children's reach.

• Make sure to use the medicine before its expiry date.
