Tolvaptoris 30 Tablet is primarily used for:

• Manage hyponatremia (low blood sodium levels)
• Managing kidney health in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD)

• Swallow the tablet as a whole, using a glass of water.
• Avoid breaking, crushing, or chewing the tablet.
• The medicine can be taken with or without food.
• You should not stop taking this medicine abruptly. Always consult your doctor before deciding to discontinue.

Tolvaptoris 30 Tablet is taken orally.

Tolvaptoris 30 Tablet contains the following component:

• Tolvaptan (30 mg): Tolvaptan is a vasopressin receptor 2 antagonist. It works by selectively preventing vasopressin, which is an antidiuretic hormone, from binding to V2 receptors in the kidneys. This prevents the formation of aquaporin-2 water channels and reduces water reabsorption in the collecting ducts of the kidneys.

The storage instructions for Tolvaptoris 30 Tablet are as follows:

• Tolvaptoris 30 Tablet should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Limit excessive water intake, as too much fluid can further dilute sodium levels.
• Follow the doctor's advice on daily fluid restriction, especially in SIADH, heart failure, and liver cirrhosis.
• Include sodium-rich foods like broth, pickles, salted nuts, and canned fish (if permitted by the doctor).
• Avoid low-sodium diets unless specifically advised by a doctor.
• Consume protein-rich foods (eggs, fish, lean meat) to maintain muscle mass and overall health.
• Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits to ensure adequate potassium and other electrolytes.
• Regularly check sodium, potassium, and kidney function levels as per medical advice.
• Avoid diuretics or other medications that may worsen sodium loss unless prescribed.
• Engage in light physical activity to support circulation and heart health, but avoid excessive sweating and dehydration.
• Get adequate rest to manage fatigue, especially in heart failure and liver cirrhosis.
