Topisal 6% Ointment 30gm

Topisal-6% Ointment is used for the following:

• Management of psoriasis: a condition where skin cells build up and form scales and itchy, dry patches.

• Alleviating symptoms associated with eczema: a skin condition that causes itchy, inflamed, and red skin.

• Providing relief from lichen planus: this condition causes purplish, itchy, flat bumps on the skin.

• Controlling dermatitis: inflammation of the skin that leads to itchiness, redness, and a rash.

• Reducing discomfort from lichen simplex chronicus: a skin disorder that causes chronic itching and scratching.

Apply Topisal-6% Ointment as suggested below:

• Before applying, make sure the affected skin area is clean and dry.

• Cleanse the area with mild soap and water, then pat it dry with a clean towel.

• Use your fingertip or a clean cotton swab to apply the ointment on the affected area.

• The amount of ointment required will depend on the size of the affected area.

• Gently massage it into your skin until it's absorbed.

• After application, wash your hands thoroughly to avoid spreading any potential infection.

Topisal-6% Ointment is applied topically.

Topisal-6% Ointment contains two active ingredients:

• Clobetasol Propionate (0.05%): A potent corticosteroid, clobetasol propionate, works by reducing the release of inflammation-causing substances in the body. This action helps alleviate symptoms like redness, itching, and swelling associated with skin conditions.

• Salicylic Acid (6%): Classified as a keratolytic agent, salicylic acid helps in shedding the outer layer of skin. By promoting the shedding of dead skin cells and facilitating the growth of new ones, salicylic acid aids in softening and sloughing off the scaly skin patches characteristic of conditions like psoriasis.

• Store Topisal-6% Ointment in a cool and dry place, ideally at a temperature below 30°C.

• Do not let it get exposed to air or moisture.

• Ensure it is kept out of reach of children.
