Torpanel 2 Tablet 10

Torpanel 2 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing partial-onset seizures with or without secondary generalisation in individuals aged 4 years and above

• Controlling primary generalised tonic-clonic (PGTC) seizures in those aged 12 years and above.

• The tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.

• Please avoid breaking, crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Always adhere to the doctor's recommended dosage and never exceed it.

• You shouldn't stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Torpanel 2 Tablet is taken orally.

Torpanel 2 Tablet contains perampanel (2 mg), which performs the following actions on the body:

• AMPA Receptor Blockage: Perampanel functions by selectively blocking AMPA receptors, a type of glutamate receptor found in the brain. These receptors are involved in many neurological processes, and their blockage helps control seizures.

• Stabilisation of Brain Electrical Activity: By reducing the activity of AMPA receptors, perampanel contributes to the stabilisation of electrical activity in the brain. This action helps in effectively managing seizures in people with epilepsy.

• Keep Torpanel 2 Tablet stored at room temperature between 20°C to 25°C.

• Shield it from excessive light and moisture.

• Make sure the medicine is kept securely out of children's reach.

• Always use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Torpanel 2 Tablet. Alcohol might increase the risk of dizziness and confusion, which are common side effects of this medicine.

• To manage weight gain, a side effect associated with Torpanel 2 Tablet, focus on maintaining a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins with regular physical activity.
