Toxur 60 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing hyperuricemia: This condition occurs when there is an excessive level of uric acid in the blood.

• Prevention and management of gout: Gout is a form of arthritis that's caused by the accumulation of uric acid crystals in the joints, causing inflammation and pain.

To get the most from your Toxur 60 Tablet, follow these guidelines:

• Swallow the tablet whole with some water. Avoid chewing or crushing it.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Even if your symptoms improve, continue taking this medicine until your doctor advises you to stop.

Toxur 60 Tablet is taken orally.

Toxur 60 Tablet contains topiroxostat (60 mg), which acts on your body in the following way:

• Inhibition of Xanthine Oxidase: Topiroxostat works by selectively blocking an enzyme called xanthine oxidase in your body. This enzyme is vital for the production of uric acid.

• Reduction of Uric Acid Production: By blocking the activity of xanthine oxidase, topiroxostat effectively reduces the synthesis of uric acid, thereby lowering the levels of uric acid in your blood and preventing the formation of uric acid crystals in your joints.

• Store Toxur 60 Tablet in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature not exceeding 25°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.

• Ensure the medicine is stored securely, out of reach of children.

• Always use your Toxur 60 Tablet before the expiry date mentioned on the packaging.

• Limit intake of foods high in purines. These include red meat, organ meats, and certain seafood as they can increase uric acid levels.

• Regularly engage in low-impact exercises such as swimming or cycling. This may help maintain joint flexibility and reduce inflammation associated with gout.
