Trelegy Ellipta Inhaler is used for:

• Long-term, once-daily maintenance of airflow obstruction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema.

• Reducing exacerbations of COPD in patients with a history of exacerbations.

To effectively use your Trelegy Ellipta Inhaler, follow these steps:

• Use the inhaler once daily at the same time every day.

• Inhale the medication orally, as directed by your doctor.

• After each inhalation, rinse your mouth with water without swallowing to reduce the risk of oropharyngeal candidiasis.

• Remember, this medicine is not a rescue inhaler and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems. Always consult your doctor for usage-specific advice.

The Trelegy Ellipta Inhaler primarily contains the following ingredients:

• Fluticasone Furoate (100 mcg): This inhaled corticosteroid possesses potent anti-inflammatory properties. Upon topical administration, it effectively targets various cells and mediators involved in the inflammatory process.

• Umeclidinium (62.5 mcg): This compound is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist, or anticholinergic, which operates by blocking M3 receptors in the smooth muscles of the airways. This action promotes bronchodilation, widening the air passages.
