Trustiva Tablet 30

Trustiva Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection in adults

• Suppression of viral replication in HIV disease

• Prevention of HIV disease progression

• Improvement of the patient's quality of life living with HIV

Follow these instructions while taking Trustiva Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• You can take it with or without food, based on your preference.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Take the medicine around bedtime, as recommended.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Trustiva Tablet is taken orally.

Trustiva Tablet consists of three active ingredients:

• Efavirenz (600 mg): Efavirenz, a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI), works by binding to the HIV enzyme that converts viral RNA into DNA, known as reverse transcriptase. This binding process inhibits viral replication.

• Emtricitabine (200 mg): Emtricitabine is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI). It's a synthetic molecule similar to the building blocks of DNA. When incorporated into the viral DNA during replication, it ends the chain and inhibits viral replication.

• Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate (300 mg): Acting as a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NtRTI), this component is a prodrug. Once inside cells, it transforms into its active form, tenofovir diphosphate, which prevents the action of HIV reverse transcriptase, thereby stopping viral replication.

• Always store Trustiva Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep it in the original container to protect it from light and moisture.

• Don't expose it to excessive heat or cold.

• Remember to keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Be sure to use Trustiva Tablet before its expiry date.

• Since Trustiva Tablet is used to manage HIV, your diet should be rich in nutrients. Include plenty of fruits, vegetables and lean proteins in your meals to boost your overall health and immunity.
