Vertiford-24 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing symptoms of Ménière's disease: This is a disorder of the inner ear.

• Controlling tinnitus: Tinnitus is a ringing sound in the ears.

• Managing hearing loss: This refers to partial or total inability to hear.

• Handling nausea: Nausea is a sensation of feeling sick with an urge to vomit.

Here are the instructions on how to take Vertiford-24 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid breaking, crushing or chewing the tablet.

• It's best to take this medicine with or after meals to prevent stomach upset.

• Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor first, even if symptoms improve.

Vertiford-24 Tablet is taken orally.

Vertiford-24 Tablet contains betahistine (24 mg) which works on the body as follows:

• Vasodilation: Betahistine improves blood circulation in the inner ear by widening blood vessels, a process called vasodilation. This reduces fluid pressure in the labyrinth of the ear.

• H1 Receptor Stimulation: It directly stimulates H1 receptors located in blood vessels in the inner ear, which aids improved blood flow.

• Vestibular Nuclei Inhibition: Betahistine hinders the activity of an area in your brain known as vestibular nuclei, which helps suppress transmission of sensory input related to dizziness and vertigo from the inner ear to your brain.

These actions help restore fluid balance in your ear, reducing symptoms like vertigo, tinnitus, hearing problems, and nausea associated with Ménière's syndrome.

• Keep Vertiford-24 Tablet stored at room temperature, ideally between 15°C to 30°C.
