Voglistar GM1 Tablet is used for the following:

• Control of blood sugar levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes

• Managing type 2 diabetes when single or dual-medication therapy is insufficient

• Helping achieve glycemic targets in adults with type 2 diabetes

• Assisting lifestyle modifications in managing type 2 diabetes

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Always take this medicine with your meals to minimise gastrointestinal side effects.

• Make sure you do not exceed the dose as recommended by your doctor.

• Remember not to abruptly discontinue taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Voglistar GM1 Tablet is taken orally.

Voglistar GM1 Tablet contains three active ingredients that contribute to its efficacy:

• Glimepiride (1 mg): Glimepiride belongs to a class of medicines called sulfonylureas. It stimulates insulin secretion from the pancreatic beta cells, which are responsible for producing insulin in your body. This process enhances the body's ability to utilise glucose effectively.

• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin is a biguanide that acts by reducing the production of glucose in the liver, delaying the absorption of glucose in the intestines and improving insulin sensitivity in muscles and other tissues. Due to its extended-release formulation, it maintains consistent medication levels in your body for better efficacy.

• Voglibose (0.2 mg): Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor. It slows down the digestion of carbohydrates in your small intestine, which helps to prevent the blood glucose levels from spiking after meals.

• Always store Voglistar GM1 Tablet in a cool, dry place, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine out of direct sunlight and away from moisture.

• Ensure the tablet is kept well out of reach of children.

• Don't forget to use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Follow a balanced diet that is low in carbohydrates and sugars.

• Regular physical activity can also support blood sugar management. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise, such as brisk walking or cycling, every day.
