Voglistar GM2 Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus: It helps in controlling the blood sugar levels.

• Auxiliary therapy to diet and exercise: For adults who are trying to manage their type 2 diabetes.

• Initial therapy: When other oral antidiabetic agents fail to control blood sugar levels adequately.

• Control of post-meal spikes in blood sugar levels: By slowing down the digestion of complex carbohydrates.

• Consume the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet as it may affect its effectiveness.

• Always take this medicine at the same time each day, preferably with breakfast or your first main meal.

• Do not adjust your dosage without consulting your doctor.

• If you forget to take it, do not double up on your dose. Instead, resume your regular schedule and consult your doctor if you are unsure.

Voglistar GM2 Tablet is taken orally.

Voglistar GM2 Tablet contains three active ingredients:

• Glimepiride (2 mg): This sulfonylurea stimulates your pancreas to produce more insulin, a hormone that helps move glucose from your blood into your cells for energy. By boosting insulin production, glimepiride effectively lowers blood sugar levels.

• Metformin (500 mg): As a biguanide, metformin reduces glucose production in your liver, delays glucose absorption in your intestines, and enhances insulin sensitivity in your body. These actions help to decrease blood sugar levels without causing hypoglycemia or low blood sugar.

• Voglibose (0.2 mg): Voglibose slows down the digestion of complex carbohydrates in your intestines. This alpha-glucosidase inhibitor prevents the breakdown of these carbohydrates into simple sugars, thereby helping to prevent post-meal spikes in blood sugar levels.

• Keep your Voglistar GM2 Tablet in a dry place.

• Store it below 30°C.
