Volix Trio Forte 2 Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults

• Improvement of insulin sensitivity in patients with type 2 diabetes

• Regulation of blood glucose levels in adults with type 2 diabetes

• Control of post-meal blood glucose spikes

• Use when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate glycemic control

• Use when single-agent therapy or dual therapy with two of the three component medicines do not provide adequate glycemic control

Here are some guidelines on how to take Volix Trio Forte 2 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole, without crushing or chewing it.

• If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the one you missed.

• Don't take more than your prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Remember, stopping this medicine abruptly can harm your health, so always consult your doctor before doing so.

Volix Trio Forte 2 Tablet is taken orally.

Volix Trio Forte 2 Tablet comprises three active ingredients:

• Glimepiride (2 mg): This sulfonylurea acts by stimulating the pancreas to secrete more insulin. It attaches to specific receptors on the pancreatic beta cells, prompting them to release insulin and thus lowering blood glucose levels.

• Metformin (500 mg): A biguanide, metformin works by limiting the amount of glucose your liver produces, increasing tissue sensitivity to insulin, and promoting glucose uptake by muscle cells. It also slows down glucose absorption from your intestines.
