Xykaa Mr 8 Tablet 10

Xykaa MR 8 Tablet is used for managing the following conditions:

• Relief from acute muscle spasms: Muscle spasms can be sudden, involuntary contractions of one or more muscles, often causing severe discomfort.

• Alleviating associated pain: The pain that usually accompanies muscle spasms.

• Control of mild to moderate pain: This includes headaches, migraines, toothaches, menstrual pain, and muscular aches.

• Management of non-inflammatory musculoskeletal conditions: Conditions affecting muscles, bones, and joints where inflammation is not a primary symptom.

• Reduction of fever: Elevated body temperature usually indicating an underlying condition.

Here's how you should take the Xykaa MR 8 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water. Avoid crushing or chewing it.

• You can take the tablet with or without food. If it causes stomach upset, try taking it with a meal.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor. Overdose can lead to liver injury due to paracetamol.

• Discontinuation should only be done after discussions with your doctor.

Xykaa MR 8 Tablet is taken orally.

Xykaa MR 8 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Paracetamol (500 mg): This ingredient works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system (CNS). Prostaglandins are substances that sensitize pain receptors to mechanical and chemical stimulation. By reducing prostaglandin production, paracetamol effectively increases the pain threshold and helps in reducing fever.

• Thiocolchicoside (8 mg): This is a semi-synthetic derivative of colchicoside found in Gloriosa superba. It shows selective affinity for GABAA and glycine receptors. By increasing chloride conductance at spinal and supraspinal levels, it produces myorelaxant effects which help in reducing muscle spasms. It also has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties which contribute towards pain relief.

• Store Xykaa MR 8 Tablet in a dry place below 30°C.

• Protect the medicine from light exposure.

• Keep it securely out of the reach and sight of children.

• Check the expiry date before taking the tablet.

• Since Xykaa MR 8 Tablet manages muscle spasms and pain, consider adding foods rich in magnesium such as spinach, pumpkin seeds, and yoghurt to your diet. Magnesium helps maintain normal muscle and nerve function.

• Gentle exercise like walking or swimming can be beneficial for muscle health. However, ensure you consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
