Xytrovin Nasal Spray is used for the following:

• Providing relief from nasal congestion due to the common cold and influenza

• Managing symptoms of sinusitis and rhinitis, conditions involving inflammation of nasal passages

• Alleviating nasal congestion associated with hay fever, a type of respiratory allergy

To use Xytrovin Nasal Spray properly, follow these steps:

• First, gently blow your nose to clear the nostrils.

• Vigorously shake the bottle before use.

• Slightly tilt your head forward and insert the spray tip into one nostril while closing the other nostril with a finger.

• Apply pressure on the bottle to release the spray while breathing in through your nose.

• Repeat this process for the other nostril.

Xytrovin Nasal Spray is administered via a nasal route.

Xytrovin Nasal Spray comprises two active ingredients:

• Xylometazoline (0.1%): As a potent alpha-adrenergic agonist, xylometazoline acts directly on the alpha-adrenergic receptors in the lining of your nose. This action causes the blood vessels in your nose to constrict, which reduces swelling and lessens nasal secretions.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.01%): This is an antiseptic component that helps in keeping the nasal passage clean by killing or inhibiting the growth of bacteria.

• Store Xytrovin Nasal Spray at room temperature, below 30°C.

• Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Always keep the medicine out of reach of children.

• Discard the bottle 28 days after opening, even if some solution remains.

• To manage symptoms related to allergies or colds, consider incorporating foods rich in vitamin C such as oranges and bell peppers into your diet. Vitamin C may help boost your immune system and fight off infections.

• Avoid exposure to allergens which can exacerbate your symptoms. For example, keep windows closed during high pollen times if you're allergic to pollen, or use an air purifier in your home if dust triggers your symptoms.
