Ziten-M Tablet is used for the following health conditions:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.

• Helping to improve blood glucose control in combination with diet and exercise.

• Reduction of the risk of diabetes-related complications.

Here's how you should take Ziten-M Tablet :

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing, chewing or breaking the tablet before swallowing.

• Always take this medicine with your evening meal to reduce potential side effects.

• As dosage varies, it is essential to follow the dose recommended by your doctor.

• Do not adjust your dose or stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Ziten-M Tablet is taken orally.

Ziten-M Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Metformin (1000 mg): This component works by decreasing the production of glucose in your liver and reducing glucose absorption in your intestines. It also improves insulin sensitivity, which increases the uptake and utilisation of glucose in your body's peripheral tissues. Importantly, metformin does not induce hypoglycaemia or excessively high insulin levels.

• Teneligliptin (20 mg): This ingredient is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. It slows down the breakdown of incretin hormones, which are substances that increase insulin release from pancreatic beta cells when glucose levels are high. It also reduces glucagon secretion from pancreatic alpha cells, another hormone that raises blood sugar levels.

The combination of these two ingredients works together to manage blood glucose effectively.
