CompositionZucapride-M 500 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus and reduce the risk of heart failure hospitalisation. This combination uses dapagliflozin (an SGLT2 inhibitor) and metformin (a biguanide). Dapagliflozin removes excess glucose through urine, while metformin improves insulin sensitivity. It is highly beneficial for patients whose blood sugar isn't controlled by metformin alone or who have cardiovascular risk factors.
Zucapride-M 500 Tablet is used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, primarily to enhance glycemic control when metformin alone is insufficient, and is additionally used to lower the risk of hospitalization due to heart failure in patients with established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush, chew, or split the tablet.
Take this medicine once daily, preferably with your morning meal.

Zucapride-M 500 Tablet consists of the following two components:
Dapagliflozin (10 mg): As an SGLT2 inhibitor, dapagliflozin reduces the absorption of glucose in your kidneys and lowers the renal threshold for glucose. This action leads to increased urinary glucose excretion and a subsequent decrease in blood glucose levels. This process does not depend on insulin secretion or action.
Metformin (500 mg): Classified as a biguanide antihyperglycemic agent, metformin works by reducing the production of glucose in your liver and decreasing the intestinal absorption of glucose.
