CompositionZycel 100 Capsule is used to manage pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis. It contains celecoxib, a COX-2 selective NSAID, and is also used to manage rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, short-term acute pain such as after surgery or injury, and painful menstrual cramps (primary dysmenorrhoea).
Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water, with or without food. Take it as prescribed by your doctor. Continue taking it for the duration advised, even if your symptoms improve, to keep pain and inflammation under control.
Staying physically active with gentle, joint-friendly exercise, maintaining a healthy weight to reduce strain on your joints, and applying warm or cold compresses to painful areas can help support your treatment.
Tell your doctor if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding, asthma, or an allergy to sulfa medicines or other NSAIDs before starting. Report chest pain, breathlessness, black or bloody stools, or swelling of the ankles to your doctor immediately. Avoid this medicine in the later stages of pregnancy.
