Zyrcold Tablet is used for managing the following conditions:

• Productive cough linked to respiratory tract infections

• Allergic rhinitis accompanied by productive cough

• Cough associated with other types of respiratory allergies

• Productive cough arising from secondary infections in addition to allergies

Here are the steps you should follow while taking Zyrcold Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• The tablet can be taken with or without food.

• It's important to take Zyrcold Tablet regularly, as prescribed by your doctor.

• Do not exceed the advised dose without consulting your doctor.

Zyrcold Tablet is taken orally.

Zyrcold Tablet comprises two active components:

• Ambroxol (60 MG): This mucolytic agent reduces the viscosity of mucus and aids expectoration. It does so by boosting the production of serous mucus, stimulating ciliary activity, and promoting the release of surfactant. As a result, mucus becomes less sticky and easier to cough up.

• Cetirizine (5 MG): This second-generation antihistamine selectively obstructs peripheral H1 receptors in your body. By preventing the release of histamine, it helps reduce allergic inflammation in your airways. This action effectively controls symptoms like runny nose and throat irritation that might trigger or worsen a cough.

• Store Zyrcold Tablet below 30°C, ideally in a cool and dry place.

• Avoid exposing the medicine to direct sunlight or moisture.

• Keep Zyrcold Tablet out of the reach of children at all times.

• Always check the expiry date and discard any unused medicine after this date.

• To manage the symptoms of respiratory allergies managed by Zyrcold Tablet, try to avoid allergens like dust mites, pollen, and pet dander whenever possible. This could include simple steps like keeping windows closed during high pollen seasons, or using dust mite-proof covers on bedding.

• A diet rich in fruits and vegetables can boost your immune system and help you resist infections that can worsen your cough. Additionally, staying well-hydrated can help dilute mucus and make your cough more productive.
