Alcofix-Gold Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing ariboflavinosis, a condition caused by Vitamin B2 deficiency that triggers inflammation of mouth and skin membranes

• Preventing and managing beriberi, a disorder resulting from Vitamin B1 deficiency

• Managing Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, a serious brain disorder due to thiamine deficiency

• Handling pyridoxine-dependent seizures in newborns, triggered by Vitamin B6 deficiency

• Dealing with sideroblastic anaemia, a form of anaemia that involves iron-rich blood cells not functioning properly

• Addressing peripheral neuropathy, a result of damage to your peripheral nerves

• Managing certain metabolic disorders like homocystinuria and xanthurenic aciduria related to Vitamin B6 deficiency

• Supporting critical functions like energy production, nervous system activity, red blood cell formation, and metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins

Alcofix-Gold Tablet is taken orally.

Alcofix-Gold Tablet contains three active ingredients:

• Riboflavin (4 mg): After being converted into flavin mononucleotide (FMN) and flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD), riboflavin acts as a coenzyme for various reactions in your body. These reactions are involved in energy production, cellular growth, and metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins.

• Thiamine Hydrochloride (250 mg): When converted to thiamine pyrophosphate, it becomes a coenzyme involved in the decarboxylation of pyruvic acid and α-ketoglutaric acid. It's also involved in transketolation reactions in the pentose phosphate pathway. This process is essential for energy production, transmission of nerve signals, and biosynthesis of neurotransmitters.

• Pyridoxine (50 mg): Once converted to pyridoxal 5' phosphate (PLP), it serves as a coenzyme that plays a role in amino acid metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis, heme biosynthesis, lipid metabolism, and gluconeogenesis. Moreover, PLP also modulates the functions of hormones and regulates gene expression.

• Store Alcofix-Gold Tablet at room temperature between 15-30°C.

• Keep it away from direct light and moisture.

• Always keep the medicine out of reach and sight of children.

• Use Alcofix-Gold Tablet before the expiry date.

• Increase your intake of foods rich in B vitamins like whole grains, lean meats, eggs, legumes, seeds, nuts, and dark leafy greens to support your recovery from vitamin B deficiencies.

• Maintain a balanced diet with adequate amounts of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates to provide your body with the necessary energy for metabolism processes supported by vitamins B1, B2 and B6.
