Dologel Gel 15gm

The following are Dologel side effects:

• Skin irritation: Some people may suffer from skin irritation
• Itching: Dologel use can cause itching in the affected area 
• Burning: Some people may experience burning sensation at the site of Dologel application
• Redness: The skin of the affected area may become red  
• Numbness: Dologel ointment use may cause temporary numbness in the afflicted area.

These side effects may subside on their own after some time. In case of persistent problems, visit the nearest healthcare centre.

Managing the side effects 

• Skin irritation: Apply an ice pack to the affected area or aloe vera gel to soothe the area
• Itching: Apply cold and wet cloth to the area to control itching. Do not rub the area. 
• Burning: The burning sensation in the mouth can be reduced by drinking cold liquids and sucking ice chips on the affected area. 
• Redness: Use chamomile essential oil or coconut oil to reduce redness in affected area
• Numbness: The numbness is temporary and will subside on its own after some time.

Pregnancy

Consult your physician before using Dologel CT if you are pregnant.

Breastfeeding

Dologel CT is not known to affect breast milk. Consult a doctor before applying the gel while breastfeeding.

Alcohol

No known interactions with alcohol.

Liver

No known interactions with the liver. 

Kidney

No known interactions with the kidney.

Using machine and driving

Dologel CT is applied on the mouth and does not affect your ability to work or drive.

Allergy

Some patients may show an allergic response towards the Salicylate component in Dologel. 

Consult your doctor immediately in case the allergic response worsens. 

Use in children

Dologel CT is not prescribed for infants and younger children as they may swallow it.

Consult your paediatrician before using it for children.

Use in older patients

Dologel can be used in older patients. Consult your doctor before using it in older patients. 

Interaction:

Drug-drug interactions

• Dologel CT has no known interaction with other drugs
• Inform your doctor about your current medications 

Drug-food interactions

• Dologel CT should be applied at least 30 minutes before consuming any food.
• No known interactions with food.
