Orofer XT Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing iron deficiency anaemia

• Preventing folic acid deficiency

• Supporting pregnancy health

• Addressing increased folate requirements (such as in pregnancy)

• Tackling anaemia due to poor nutrition

• Dealing with malabsorption disorders

Follow these instructions while taking Orofer XT Tablet:

• Strictly follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor for this medication.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without your doctor's approval.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing this medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Orofer XT Tablet is taken orally.

Orofer XT Tablet comprises two active ingredients:

• Ferrous Ascorbate (100 mg): This is a blend of ferrous iron and ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Iron is a crucial mineral needed for creating haemoglobin, a protein in red blood cells that distributes oxygen throughout your body. Ascorbic acid boosts the absorption of iron from your gut, thereby increasing its availability in your body.

• Folic Acid (1.5 mg): This B-vitamin plays a key role in producing and maturing red blood cells. It also aids in the creation of DNA and RNA, which are vital for cell division and growth. Sufficient intake of folic acid during pregnancy helps avoid neural tube defects in the developing foetus.

• Store Orofer XT Tablet in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.

• Keep it at room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.

• Retain the tablet in its original packaging until use.

• Ensure it's out of sight and reach of children.

• Use before the expiry date indicated on the package.

• Consider increasing your intake of iron-rich foods like spinach, lentils and lean meat. This can help support the management of iron deficiency anaemia, for which Orofer XT Tablet is typically prescribed.

• Regularly consume foods rich in B vitamins such as whole grains, beans and peas. This complements folic acid intake from Orofer XT Tablet, aiding in red blood cell production.
