Drospirenone + Ethinyl Estradiol is a hormonal contraceptive combination.
Drospirenone is a synthetic form of progesterone, a female hormone. It works by preventing the release of an egg from the ovary during the menstrual cycle, which is known as ovulation.
Ethinyl Estradiol is a synthetic form of another female hormone, oestrogen. It assists in contraception by thickening the mucus at the entrance of the womb, thus making it more difficult for sperm to enter and reach an egg.
