Yamini Tablet is a combined oral contraceptive pill used to prevent unintended pregnancy. It is also prescribed to regulate the menstrual cycle, reduce painful cramps, lighten heavy periods, and manage moderate acne or premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) in women.
It contains drospirenone and ethinylestradiol, two synthetic female hormones that work together to prevent the release of an egg from the ovaries, thicken the cervical mucus, and alter the uterine lining. Take one tablet daily at the same time for 21 consecutive days, followed by a 7-day pill-free interval, as prescribed. Do not skip doses, as missing a pill increases the risk of pregnancy.
Maintaining a healthy weight, avoiding smoking, and staying physically active can support overall hormonal and cardiovascular health while taking this medicine.
Before starting this medicine, tell your doctor if you smoke, are over 35 years old, or have a history of blood clots, high blood pressure, liver disorders, or breast cancer. It is not suitable if you are pregnant and is generally not recommended while breastfeeding. Regular check-ups with your doctor are recommended.
