Axcer 90 Tablet is used in adults to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke and other serious heart and circulation problems, particularly in people with coronary artery disease or a previous heart attack, and as part of treatment for acute coronary syndrome.
It contains ticagrelor, an antiplatelet medicine. It works by stopping platelets clumping together to form harmful clots. It is often taken with low-dose aspirin.
Take it as prescribed, with or without food, and do not stop it without speaking to your doctor, as this can raise the risk of a clot. Tell anyone treating you, including your dentist, that you take it.
Tell your doctor about any bleeding disorder, stomach ulcers, liver problems or asthma before starting, or if you have surgery planned. Report any unusual or heavy bleeding, or sudden breathlessness, without delay.
