Acnesol Gel is a topical antibiotic medicine used to treat mild to moderate acne vulgaris (pimples) on the face, chest, and back. It helps reduce acne-causing bacteria and inflammation associated with acne.
It contains clindamycin phosphate. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby preventing the growth of Cutibacterium acnes. Cleanse and dry the affected skin area thoroughly before applying a thin layer of the gel as directed by your dermatologist.
Maintain a skincare routine using a gentle, non-comedogenic cleanser to help prevent clogged pores. Avoid squeezing or popping pimples, and limit excessive sun exposure or the use of harsh skin scrubs while using this medicine.
For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, mouth, and broken or sunburnt skin. Inform your dermatologist if you have a history of inflammatory bowel disease or antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. If severe skin irritation or an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
