Acnetor AD Gel is used for the following:

• Management of acne vulgaris: This is a common skin condition that causes various types of spots, including blackheads, whiteheads, and inflamed spots.

• Treatment of inflammatory acne: These are the red, inflamed bumps or zits that can be tender to touch.

• Handling non-inflammatory acne: This includes whiteheads and blackheads which are less visible and less likely to cause discomfort.

• Reduction of microcomedone formation: This medicine helps in reducing the formation of small bumps on the skin which can later turn into acne lesions.

• Control of bacterial growth on skin: It helps in managing the growth of bacteria that cause acne.

• Clean and dry the affected area before application.

• Apply a thin layer once daily at night.

• Spread the gel over the entire affected area, not just on individual pimples.

• Avoid contact with eyes, lips, angles of the nose and mucous membranes.

• Wash your hands thoroughly after applying this gel.

Acnetor AD Gel combines two active ingredients which tackle acne via different mechanisms:

• Adapalene (0.1%): This third-generation topical retinoid binds to specific retinoic acid nuclear receptors (gamma and beta). It modulates cellular differentiation, keratinization, and inflammatory processes. This action leads to decreased formation of microcomedones and reduced inflammation.

• Clindamycin (1%): A lincosamide antibiotic, it inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunits. This action suppresses P. acnes and decreases inflammation. P.acnes is an anaerobe found in sebaceous follicles and comedones.

Together, these two components form a multi-pronged approach in managing acne by targeting different types of lesions.

• Do not freeze the gel.

• Protect it from direct sunlight and avoid exposing it to moisture.

• Since Acnetor AD Gel manages acne, you might want to maintain a diet low in sugar and oily foods. These foods can cause oil build-up on your skin, aggravating acne.
