Acnicin Gel 15Gm

Acnicin Gel is used for managing:

• Acne vulgaris in individuals aged 12 and above

• Both inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne lesions

• Prevention of follicular keratinization, a process leading to acne formation

• Inhibition of microcomedone formation, which are precursors to acne

• Reduction in inflammation associated with acne breakouts

• Control over Propionibacterium acnes, a bacteria significantly involved in the development of acne

Before applying Acnicin Gel, follow these steps:

• Wash the affected area gently with a mild cleanser and warm water.

• Pat dry the cleaned area with a soft towel.

• Apply a thin layer of the gel on the affected area, preferably at night.

• Be careful to avoid contact with your eyes, lips, and mouth. If the gel accidentally gets into these areas, rinse thoroughly with water.

• Consult your doctor for further advice on usage.

Acnicin Gel is applied topically.

Acnicin Gel comprises two active ingredients:

• Clindamycin (1%): This antibiotic works by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit in bacteria, thereby inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. It has been found to be effective against Propionibacterium acnes, a key bacteria involved in causing acne.

• Adapalene (0.1%): This retinoid-like compound modulates retinoic acid receptors (RARs) in your body. It normalises follicular keratinisation, which helps reduce inflammation and inhibit the formation of microcomedones, tiny bumps under the skin that later develop into spots.

• Store Acnicin Gel at a cool and stable temperature not exceeding 25°C.

• Avoid freezing the gel.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Ensure the tube is tightly closed after use.

• Always store Acnicin Gel out of reach of children.

• Consume a diet rich in antioxidants and vitamin A, which could support skin health. This includes foods like carrots, spinach, and sweet potatoes, which are good for acne-prone skin.

• Acnicin Gel can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight and always wear sun protection when outdoors. This could be a hat, sunglasses, or sunscreen with a high SPF rating.
