Actoid 25 Capsule is used for:

• Management of severe psoriasis: This skin condition causes red, itchy scaly patches on the skin.

• Control of disorders related to keratinization: Keratinization is a process by which skin cells harden.

• Helping with ichthyosis: A family of genetic skin disorders characterised by dry, thickened, scaly skin.

• Management of Darier's disease: A rare, inherited skin condition marked by persistent crusted or scaly spots.

Use Actoid 25 Capsule in the following way:

• Always swallow the capsule whole with water. Avoid chewing or sucking it.

• It's best to take the capsule with your main meal as it enhances absorption.

• Do not exceed the dose recommended by your doctor.

• Remember, never stop using this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Actoid 25 Capsule is taken orally.

Actoid 25 Capsule contains acitretin (25 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Cell Proliferation and Differentiation Modulation: Acitretin influences how skin cells grow and differentiate or mature. This helps regulate the fast growth and hardening of skin cells seen in psoriasis and other similar disorders.

• Keratinization Normalisation: The medicine normalises keratinization, which is the process where skin cells produce keratin a protein that provides strength to hair, nails, and skin tissue. By controlling this process, Actoid 25 Capsule helps reduce excessive cell growth and hardening in areas affected by psoriasis or other keratinization disorders.

• Store Actoid 25 Capsule at a cool temperature, below 30°C.
