It combines two active components: alfuzosin, an alpha-blocker that relaxes the muscle in the prostate and bladder neck to ease urination, and dutasteride, a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that works to shrink the prostate by blocking the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone involved in prostate enlargement.
Take this tablet with a meal, exactly as directed by your doctor. It is designed for long-term continuous use, and benefits may take several weeks or months to become fully apparent.
Before use, tell your doctor if you have severe kidney or liver disease, low blood pressure, or are planning eye surgery, as it can affect iris dynamics during cataract procedures.
