Alaspan AG Syrup is primarily used to alleviate the discomfort associated with a cough that produces mucus. This combination medicine combines an antihistamine, an expectorant and a mucolytic.
The antihistamine relieves allergy-type symptoms such as sneezing and itching, while the expectorant and mucolytic components thin and loosen mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough up and clear, together relieving a productive cough and chest congestion.
Take this syrup using the measuring cup provided, at the dose and frequency your doctor prescribes, with or without food.
Tell your doctor if you have a heart condition, high blood pressure or diabetes, as some ingredients in this syrup can affect these conditions. If your cough persists for more than a week, is accompanied by high fever, or brings up blood, seek medical advice.
