Alzil-M 5 Tablet is a combination medicine used to manage cognitive and behavioural symptoms in adults with moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease. It helps support memory, orientation, communication, and daily functional independence over time.
It contains donepezil (a cholinesterase inhibitor) and memantine (an NMDA receptor antagonist). Take the tablet as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily at bedtime to help reduce potential daytime digestive upset. Take it regularly, with or without food, and do not stop treatment suddenly without doctor guidance.
Consistent daily routines and supportive environments play a valuable role alongside treatment. Engaging in structured cognitive activities, maintaining clear daily schedules, encouraging social interaction, and ensuring a safe home environment help support quality of life for both patients and carers.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have heart rhythm disorders, asthma, severe liver or kidney disease, stomach ulcers, or a history of seizures. Report any worsening confusion, severe dizziness, fainting, or mood changes promptly. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
