• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid breaking, crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Do not exceed the recommended dosage without consulting your doctor.

• Remember, it's essential not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Alzil-M 5 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Donepezil (5 mg): This compound is a reversible inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase. Acetylcholinesterase is an enzyme responsible for breaking down acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in memory and cognition. By inhibiting this enzyme, donepezil boosts the levels and duration of action of acetylcholine in the brain.

• Memantine (5 mg): This compound is an uncompetitive NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptor antagonist. Memantine binds to NMDA receptors and blocks the activity of glutamate, a neurotransmitter that can lead to neuronal dysfunction when present in excess. By regulating glutamate activity, memantine helps prevent the neuronal damage associated with Alzheimer's disease.
