Ambrican 5 Tablet 10

Ambrican 5 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing symptoms of pulmonary arterial hypertension: This is a condition where the blood pressure in the arteries that carry blood from your heart to your lungs is too high.

• Delaying disease progression in patients diagnosed with WHO Group 1 pulmonary arterial hypertension: This group includes patients whose PAH has specific causes such as connective tissue disease, HIV infection, or medicinal use.

• Improving exercise capacity in individuals suffering from pulmonary arterial hypertension: This allows them to perform physical activities more comfortably.

Follow these instructions while taking Ambrican 5 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• If you feel better, do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Ambrican 5 Tablet is taken orally.

Ambrican 5 Tablet contains ambrisentan (5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Blocks Endothelin-1: Ambrisentan works by blocking the effects of endothelin-1, a substance that causes blood vessels to tighten and narrow. This function is particularly useful in managing conditions like PAH, where endothelin-1 levels are elevated.

• Induces Vasodilation: By preventing endothelin-1 from binding to endothelin receptors in blood vessel walls, ambrisentan allows the vessels to relax and widen, a process known as vasodilation. This decreases the pressure within the lungs' arteries, helping to relieve symptoms of PAH.

• Store your Ambrican 5 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 20°C and 25°C.

• Keep the tablets away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain their effectiveness.

• Ensure the medicine is securely placed where children cannot reach it.

• Always check the expiry date on the packet before taking the medicine.

• Regular, gentle exercise such as walking or swimming can help improve your body's ability to circulate blood, easing the strain on your heart caused by pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

• A balanced diet low in sodium can help manage high blood pressure, which is often associated with PAH. Try to limit your intake of processed foods which often contain hidden salts.
