CompositionAmlosafe-AT Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure and reduce heart-related chest pain (angina). It is a combination medicine containing amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker) and atenolol (a beta-blocker).
By lowering blood pressure and easing the workload on the heart, it helps protect against heart attack and stroke. Take it with or without food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and continue it even when you feel well. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can cause a sharp rise in blood pressure or heart rate.
Reducing salt in your diet (including pickles, papad and packaged snacks), staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight, avoiding smoking and limiting alcohol can support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have asthma, diabetes, heart rhythm problems, or liver or kidney problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor promptly if you have severe dizziness, a very slow heartbeat or breathlessness. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
