Amlosafe H Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing hypertension (high blood pressure), thereby reducing the risk of heart-related complications.

• Preventing stroke in patients with hypertension.

• Preventing heart attacks in patients who have high blood pressure.

• Reducing kidney complications that can arise from prolonged hypertension.

Here are some general instructions for taking Amlosafe H Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient amount of water. Do not chew or crush it.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.

• If you have any questions or doubts about how to use this medicine, please consult your doctor for specific advice.

Amlosafe H Tablet is taken orally.

Amlosafe H Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): As a calcium channel blocker, amlodipine works by relaxing the smooth muscles present in your blood vessel walls. This action causes the blood vessels to widen, a process known as vasodilation, which improves the flow of blood. By doing so, amlodipine effectively reduces the workload on your heart and lowers your blood pressure.

• Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): This ingredient acts as a diuretic, which helps your body to get rid of excess water and salt. It increases your urine output, thereby reducing the volume of fluid flowing through your blood vessels. This action of hydrochlorothiazide contributes to lowering your blood pressure.

• Store Amlosafe H Tablet in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays below 30°C.

• Shield it from exposure to direct sunlight and moisture.

• Keep this medicine well out of sight and reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date before using Amlosafe H Tablet.

• High sodium levels can raise your blood pressure, counteracting the effects of Amlosafe H Tablet. Opt for low-sodium versions of your favourite foods and reduce your use of table salt.

• Regular physical activity can help lower your blood pressure. Aim to get at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity exercise each week. Consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
