Amrolstar Nail Lacquer is used to treat fungal nail infections, including thickened, discoloured or brittle nails caused by dermatophytes. It contains amorolfine, an antifungal medicine applied directly to the nail.
Amorolfine works by damaging the cell membrane of the fungus, which stops it from growing and gradually clears the infection as the nail grows out, helping restore a healthier nail appearance over time.
File the surface of the affected nail before each application, clean with the swab provided, then apply the lacquer as your doctor advises, usually once or twice weekly, and continue for the full course, which can take several months for fingernails and up to a year for toenails.
Avoid using nail varnish or artificial nails on the treated nail during treatment, and avoid sharing nail files or clippers to prevent spreading the infection. Tell your doctor if the nail does not improve after three months of regular use.
