Angiwell 2.6 Tablet CR is used to prevent the occurrence of chest pain (angina pectoris) in adults with coronary artery disease by improving blood flow to the heart. It is for prevention, not for the immediate relief of a sudden chest pain attack.
It contains glyceryl trinitrate (nitroglycerin) CR (2.6 mg) in a controlled-release form. Swallow it whole, do not crush or chew. Take it as prescribed; do not stop without medical advice.
Keeping to all monitoring appointments and managing known angina triggers support better symptom control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any low blood pressure or use of erectile dysfunction medicines (PDE-5 inhibitors such as sildenafil, tadalafil or vardenafil) before starting. This medicine must not be taken with PDE-5 inhibitors, as the combination causes a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Report severe dizziness, fainting or worsening chest pain.
