Angiwell 2.6 Tablet CR is used to prevent the occurrence of chest pain (angina pectoris) in adults with coronary artery disease, and to manage symptoms of coronary artery disease.

Uses of Angiwell 2.6 Tablet CR are:

• Angina Prevention: Helps prevent the chest pain of angina pectoris.
• Coronary Artery Disease: Manages symptoms by improving blood flow to the heart.
• Not for Acute Attacks: Provides long-term prevention, not immediate attack relief.

Please follow these steps when taking Angiwell 2.6 Tablet:

• Place prescribed amount of tablets under your tongue or in the buccal pouch (the space between your cheek and gums) at the onset of an angina attack.

• Let the tablet dissolve under your tongue or in the buccal pouch; do not swallow, chew, or crush it.

• For the prevention of anginal attacks, this tablet should be taken 5-10 minutes prior to activities that could provoke an attack.

Angiwell 2.6 Tablet is taken orally.

Angiwell 2.6 Tablet contains glyceryl trinitrate (2.6 mg). The mechanism of action involves:

• Relaxation of Vascular Smooth Muscle: Glyceryl trinitrate, by virtue of its vasodilatory properties, relaxes the smooth muscles lining your blood vessels.

• Dilation of Coronary Arteries: By relaxing these smooth muscles, glyceryl trinitrate dilates (widens) the coronary arteries, facilitating improved blood flow to the heart muscle.

• Reduction in Cardiac Workload: The dilation of peripheral arteries and veins reduces the amount of blood returning to the heart (venous return), thereby decreasing the workload on the heart.

• Decrease in Oxygen Demand: As a result of reduced cardiac workload, there is less demand for oxygen by the heart muscle, helping manage symptoms of angina pectoris.

• Always store Angiwell 2.6 Tablet in a closed container at room temperature, ideally between 15 to 30 degrees Celsius.

• Keep the medicine away from excess light and moisture.

• Ensure the product is kept out of reach from children.

• It's important to use the tablet before its expiration date.

• Since Angiwell 2.6 Tablet is used to manage angina pectoris, a heart-friendly diet is recommended. This includes food rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as fish or walnuts, which can help improve heart health.

• Regular moderate exercise, such as a brisk walk or cycle ride, can help improve cardiovascular health. However, always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
