Apigat 5 Tablet is primarily used to manage the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in individuals with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation, an irregular heartbeat. This medicine is a member of a class of medications known as anticoagulants or blood thinners.
In addition to its main use, this tablet is also used for the prophylaxis, or prevention, of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) in patients who have undergone hip or knee replacement surgery. It is also indicated for managing DVT and PE, and for reducing the risk of these conditions recurring following initial therapy.
