Arvast-A 75 Capsule is used for the following:

• Lowering the risk of heart attacks and strokes in high-risk patients

• Minimising the chance of non-fatal strokes in those with a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA)

• Reducing the risk of death and non-fatal heart attacks in patients with previous heart attacks or unstable chest pain

• Lowering the chances of sudden death and heart attack in patients with stable chest pain

• Serving as an aid to patients who have undergone coronary revascularization procedures such as CABG and PTCA

• Decreasing elevated levels of total cholesterol, LDL-C, ApoB, non-HDL-C, and triglycerides in primary hyperlipidemia and mixed dyslipidemia patients

• Increasing HDL-C levels in the blood

• Assisting in slowing down atherosclerosis progression for adults with elevated hsCRP and a history of stroke or heart attack.

Arvast-A 75 Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): This is a type of statin that works by competitively inhibiting an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme is responsible for the production of cholesterol in your body. By blocking its activity, rosuvastatin increases the number of LDL receptors on the surface of your liver cells, leading to increased uptake and breakdown of LDL cholesterol and a decrease in the levels of LDL cholesterol in your blood.

• Aspirin (75 mg): This works by irreversibly inhibiting an enzyme in your body called platelet cyclooxygenase (COX).
