Astin CV 10 Capsule is used for:

• Lowering excessive levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apolipoprotein B and triglycerides

• Prevention of atherothrombotic events in adults who have experienced a recent myocardial infarction (within the past 35 days)

• Preventing similar events in patients who have had an ischemic stroke (within the past 6 months)

• Managing symptoms in patients diagnosed with established peripheral arterial disease

• Assisting with dietary and lifestyle changes to manage primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia

Taking Astin CV 10 Capsule involves the following steps:

• Swallow the capsule whole, without opening, crushing or chewing it.

• You may take it at any time of day that suits you.

Astin CV 10 Capsule is taken orally.

Astin CV 10 Capsule consists of two active ingredients:

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): This component inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, a key enzyme in cholesterol production. By blocking this enzyme, atorvastatin decreases the levels of LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol, triglycerides and apolipoprotein B, while slightly increasing HDL cholesterol. Lower levels of LDL cholesterol reduce the risk of heart disease, heart attacks, and strokes.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): As an antiplatelet medication, clopidogrel prevents platelet aggregation and cross-linking by binding irreversibly to P2Y12 receptors on platelets. By preventing platelet aggregation, clopidogrel reduces the risk of harmful blood clots that can cause heart attacks and strokes.
