Atchol F Tablet 10

Atchol-F Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol and triglyceride levels by lowering LDL cholesterol and may help increase HDL cholesterol. This may help reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, especially in individuals with high lipid levels, and is beneficial as part of a comprehensive heart-health program.

Use Atchol-F Tablet as follows:

• Take one tablet orally once a day.

• It's best to swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• You can take it at any time during the day, with or without food.

• Never crush, break or chew the tablet.

• Always maintain a standard cholesterol-lowering diet throughout your treatment.

• Don't increase your dosage without consulting your doctor.

Atchol-F Tablet is a combination medication with two active ingredients:

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): This statin works by blocking an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase in your liver. This enzyme is involved in cholesterol production. By inhibiting it, atorvastatin reduces the amount of cholesterol produced in the body. Moreover, it increases the number of LDL receptors on the liver cells' surface, which helps to remove LDL cholesterol from your bloodstream.

• Fenofibrate (160 mg): As a fibrate, fenofibrate activates a specific receptor called peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α (PPARα). This action increases the breakdown of fatty acids and triglycerides in your body. It also reduces the production of a substance called apolipoprotein C-III that inhibits fat breakdown. Lastly, it promotes HDL cholesterol synthesis and helps clear LDL cholesterol from your bloodstream.
