Atocor-20 Tablet is utilised for the following health conditions:

• Management of high levels of LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood

• Boosting HDL cholesterol levels

• Reduction of heart disease risk by controlling lipid profile

• Prevention of strokes and heart attacks in individuals with coronary heart disease or at risk of developing it

• Lowering cholesterol and other fatty substances in young adults aged 10 to 17 years with familial heterozygous hypercholesterolemia

To ensure you use Atocor-20 Tablet correctly, follow these simple steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Take the medicine around the same time every day for maximum effect.

• Continue taking this medicine as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Do not stop without consulting your doctor.

Atocor-20 Tablet is taken orally.

Atocor-20 Tablet contains atorvastatin (20 mg) which works on your body as follows:

• Inhibits HMG-CoA reductase: HMG-CoA reductase is an enzyme in your body that plays a crucial role in forming cholesterol. Atorvastatin works by blocking this enzyme.

• As Atocor-20 Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol levels, try to limit your intake of saturated fats, trans fats, and dietary cholesterol. Opt for lean meats, whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products.
