Atorlip 40 Tablet is employed for the following:

• Managing high cholesterol levels in the blood

• Reducing the risk of heart-related complications such as heart disease, heart attacks, and strokes

• Controlling mixed dyslipidemia, where you have high levels of both cholesterol and triglycerides

• Treating familial hypercholesterolemia, a genetic condition causing high cholesterol levels

• Lowering the levels of triglycerides, a type of fat found in your blood

• Preventing cardiovascular events in people with multiple risk factors for coronary heart disease

Here's how you should take Atorlip 40 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• The medicine can be taken at any time of the day, with or without food.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Atorlip 40 Tablet is taken orally.

Atorlip 40 Tablet contains atorvastatin (40 mg), which works on your body through the following mechanisms:

• Blocks HMG-CoA reductase: Atorvastatin hinders an enzyme in your body called HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme is responsible for making cholesterol inside your body.

• Reduces blood cholesterol: By blocking the activity of HMG-CoA reductase, atorvastatin effectively lowers the levels of cholesterol in your blood.

• Keep the medicine at room temperature
