Atorva Gold 20 Capsule is used to manage high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and to help prevent heart attacks and strokes in high-risk patients, typically following a recent heart attack or stroke, or in those with established peripheral arterial or coronary artery disease.
It contains atorvastatin, a statin, along with aspirin and clopidogrel, which are antiplatelet medicines. Together, they lower LDL cholesterol, raise HDL cholesterol, and help prevent blood clot formation, supporting stable blood flow to the heart. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, and do not stop it without medical advice, as stopping suddenly can increase your risk of a clot.
A heart-healthy diet low in saturated fats, regular physical activity, and avoiding smoking can help support the effect of this medicine on your cholesterol and cardiovascular health.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, stomach ulcers, liver disease, or planned surgery, and about other medicines you take. Tell your doctor about any unusual or heavy bleeding, or persistent muscle pain or weakness. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
