Axcer 90 Tablet is used to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke or cardiovascular death in adults with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) or a history of heart attack. It is usually prescribed alongside aspirin.
It contains ticagrelor (90 mg), a P2Y12 antiplatelet medicine. Take it as prescribed and do not stop it without medical advice, as stopping suddenly can sharply increase the risk of a further cardiovascular event.
Quitting smoking, eating a heart-healthy diet and keeping to all monitoring appointments support your treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, liver disease or history of bleeding in the brain before starting, and about other medicines you take. Report black or bloody stools, unusual bruising or unexplained breathlessness immediately.
