Azee 100mg Peppermint Flavour Dry Syrup 15ml

Azee Dry Syrup is used to manage bacterial infections in children, especially those affecting the respiratory system such as bronchitis, sinusitis, and mild pneumonia. It is also prescribed for ear infections, throat and tonsil infections, and skin or soft tissue infections. In some cases, it may be given to help prevent bacterial infections in children who are at higher risk, based on medical advice.

Administer Azee Dry Syrup to your child as follows:

• Shake the bottle well before use.

• Measure the correct dose of the syrup using the measuring cup or spoon provided.

• If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving this syrup as it is sugar-based.

• Always follow the dosage as directed by your child's doctor.

• Store the bottle in a cool, dry place after use. Keep it out of reach from children.

Azee Dry Syrup is given orally.

Azee 100mg Dry Syrup's active ingredient is azithromycin (100 mg). It works on the body through the following mechanisms:

• Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis: It targets the bacteria causing the infection. It binds to a part of the bacteria called the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome. This action inhibits or blocks protein synthesis.

• Prevents bacterial growth: The syrup prevents bacteria from growing and multiplying by inhibiting protein synthesis. This allows your child's immune system to attack and ultimately eliminate the infection.

• Store Azee Dry Syrup in a cool and dry place ideally below 25°C temperature.

• Protect the syrup from light and moisture to maintain its efficacy.

• Ensure that the syrup is always stored out of reach of children, to prevent accidental ingestion.

• Always check the expiry date on the label before giving the syrup to your child.

• Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids during the day, as this can help prevent dehydration which is especially important if they're experiencing diarrhoea due to an infection.

• If your child is on Azee Dry Syrup for a throat infection, give them soft foods that are easy to swallow. Avoid giving them spicy or hard foods that could irritate their throat.

• For respiratory infections, ensure your child's living environment is free from irritants such as smoke and dust.

• If your child has a skin infection, keep the affected area clean and dry. Avoid letting them scratch or pick at the area to prevent further irritation or potential spreading of the infection.

• Encourage regular hand washing in your child to prevent the spread of bacterial infections.
