Azee 100 Dry Syrup is an antibiotic used in children to treat bacterial infections of the chest, throat, ears and skin, and typhoid (enteric) fever.
It contains azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic. It works by blocking the proteins bacteria need to grow, which lets the body clear the infection. Its long action often allows a short course.
Give it to the child at the dose and for the full course prescribed, based on age and weight.
Tell the doctor about any heart-rhythm or liver problems before use. Report a fast or irregular heartbeat, or yellowing of the skin.
