Azibact Oral Suspension interacts with the following medicines:
Antacids: Medicines containing aluminium or magnesium salts such as Gaviscon and Maalox can decrease the peak serum levels of azithromycin. It is advised to give your child Azibact Oral Suspension at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after these antacids.
Oral Anticoagulants: Warfarin and similar medicines may have their effects potentiated by Azibact Oral Suspension, meaning it can increase the risk of bleeding. Close monitoring of prothrombin times is needed when these medicines are co-administered.
