Azmarda 200 Tablet 7 is used to manage long-term heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (where the heart does not pump as well as it should) and high blood pressure in adults. It is a combination medicine containing sacubitril and valsartan, an angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI).
This medicine helps improve heart function and reduce the workload on the heart. If you are switching from an ACE-inhibitor medicine, your doctor will leave a gap of at least 36 hours before you start this medicine.
Reducing the salt in your diet, monitoring your weight and fluid intake as advised, and staying active within your doctor's limits support heart health alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, and about all other medicines you take, especially ACE inhibitors or potassium supplements. Report any swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, or difficulty breathing, which needs urgent attention. This medicine can seriously harm an unborn baby, so tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.
