Bilachek-M Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis

• Relief of nasal symptoms such as sneezing and a runny or itchy nose

• Control of ocular symptoms like itchy and watery eyes

• Suitable for managing both seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis

Here's how you should take Bilachek-M Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew or crush the tablet.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food.

Bilachek-M Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Bilastine (20 mg): As a non-sedating, second-generation antihistamine, bilastine works by blocking histamine activity at H1 receptors in your body. Histamine is a compound that's released during allergic reactions causing symptoms like sneezing, itching, runny nose and redness of eyes. By inhibiting this action, bilastine helps reduce these allergy symptoms.

• Montelukast (10 mg): This ingredient is classified as a leukotriene receptor antagonist. Leukotrienes are chemicals produced in the body during an allergic reaction causing inflammation and swelling in the airways of the lungs. Montelukast blocks the action of leukotriene D4 (LTD4) at the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor CysLT1, helping to alleviate symptoms of allergic rhinitis.

The combination of bilastine and montelukast provides comprehensive symptom relief in allergic rhinitis by targeting two key mediators of the allergic response, histamine and leukotrienes.
