Biocof-BR Syrup is used to treat a productive cough with mucus, chest congestion and breathing difficulty caused by bronchitis, bronchial asthma and other respiratory conditions.

BIOCOF-BR Syrup contains three different active ingredients:

• Terbutaline (1.25 mg): This ingredient is a beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist and works as a bronchodilator. It relaxes the smooth muscles lining your airways causing dilation of the bronchi and bronchioles. As a result, airway resistance reduces and breathing becomes easier. It also works to inhibit the release of substances that cause inflammation in the airways.
• Bromhexine (4 mg): This is a mucolytic agent. It reduces the thickness of mucus in the respiratory tract, thereby making it easier to cough out. This happens because bromhexine increases the production of mucus which lubricates and reduces stickiness of the mucus.
