Brevipil 100 Tablet is used to control partial-onset (focal) seizures in adults and adolescents with epilepsy, helping to reduce how often seizures occur.
It contains brivaracetam, an anti-epileptic medicine that helps stabilise brain activity. It is often used alongside other anti-epileptic medicines. Take it as prescribed; do not stop it suddenly, as this can increase the risk of seizures.
Getting adequate sleep, avoiding known seizure triggers such as flashing lights or excessive alcohol, and keeping to a regular daily routine can help support seizure control alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any history of depression, mood changes, or kidney or liver problems. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice. Tell your doctor about any thoughts of self-harm, unusual mood changes, or seizures that become more frequent.
